How lond will I have to wear braces?

Well I started wearing braces on July 17, 2009(on my birthday...ya sucky) and I had to wear headgear because I had an overbite. I also had 2 teeth growing on the sides of my gum but are now fixed and look normal. So how long do you think I'll need to wear braces now because I very much want them off. I'm 12 right now but will be 13 on the 17th in case you need that information:). My braces are also fixed so they aren't invisilign.And I also want advice on what retainer I should get: regular, clear, or fixed\permanent retainer? Please help me!
