When will Crosby and Malkin be back? Or are they already?

Malkin had knee surgery and won't be back until next season unfortunately. Crosby has started practicing again but I doubt he will be back before the playoffs start. It's gonna take a while to get back into it and even if he does want to come back early, so many people are watching his every move I don't think he would be allowed to. Maybe middle of the playoffs is my guess for Crosby. Of course, I'm no expert.
